Seat could do with being higher so thinking of getting a dakar seat so couple of questions if you can help at all...

Will the dakar seat fit my 02 gs 650, will I need the same year seat?

Will the dakar seat actually increase my ride height and if so by roughly how much?

Anyone wanna sell me one?

Hi Axel, yep a Dakar seat will fit your standard GS....Hovis has one on his bike,fitted it almost immediately, and it increases his ride height by a couple of inches I'd say, also giving extra legroom. I don't think you need to be year-specific with the seat, but sorry we don't have one for sale!

All the GS seats are interchangeable as the bases are the same.

Dakar seat is about 2 inches higher than the lower GS seat.

yes as said it will fit and raise the height of the bike.
or is it ground clearance you are after?
or get some dakar forks
yes we have a good seat and forks to sell.
are you prepared to pay a decent price for them

Axel,
there are more people trying to swap the dakar seat for the lower standard seat than t'other way round - so I don't think you'll have problems finding one.
