Will it slow down?

Nav II. If I fill up the CF card with maps, will it slow it or in any way effect the way the unit responds?

In a word, NO.

If you have a 1 gig CF card full of maps, the unit will take a second or two longer to boot up when you first turn it on, compared to a GPSR with a 128 meg card full of maps.

Once it has got past the initial boot-up process, there is no difference at all.
