Anybody using one? My netbook is a few years old, and netbooks seem to be a dying breed, so looking at a tablet that can run Mapsource / Basecamp instead.

I know the USB ports on most tablets are the micro ones and I'll need an adapter cable to convert to the bigger one on my zumo 660.

John,
Have looked into this and the full fat windows 8 not RT lighter version is said to work . All from google searches. Sounds like a good idea if it does. Carry a dell XP 12" at the moment , way too big. My thoughts are let the prices settle before purchase.:thumb

The Garmin Forums mention that Mapsource & Basecamp won't run on Windows RT. I'll not be rushing out till the prices have stabilised a bit. My Samsung N150 still does the business, but it won't last forever.

If your budget stretches far enough I'd recommend a MacBook Air 11" and basecamp. Windows doesn't run all that well on the tablets thanks to a processor designed mainly for battery saving.

RT is a no no, it isn't much more than a phone OS

Other versions of Windows 8 are fine.
