Winfixer 2005

I looked at a link from one of the threads on the board and I now find that I have Acquired Winfixer 2005 ,which runs every time I log on and has given me an Icon.
Should I be concerned anf if so, how do I get rid of it.

Get rid.

Use Adaware or Spybot to detect and remove it.

Once you have got rid of it install, use & update on a regular basis:
Microsoft Antispyware
Spybot
Lavasoft Ad-aware
AVG anti virus

All are freeware and can be found using, believe it or not, google.

and another thought would be to use Mozilla Firefox web browser, it does not let any websites install adware or spyware unless you specifically allow it to.
It's free and best of all it's not made by Microsoft
