Pictures from last night's winter camp, no bike but a walk into the mountains to here Ffynnon Lloer at the base of Pen Yr Ole Wen

Walk in the dark and then pitch the tent and get a brew on, tent courtesy of Trangwales although he didn't make a brew

All in all a cracking night away, didn't get cold but carrying the extra kit made a difference.

All pics taken on a Canon G11, thanks Nick;) :D

Isn't Wales great! How long a walk up was it? You can't beat a bit of wild camping :thumb Great pics too :)

Dave

There's always two sides to every story ...
The tent came with a goblin teasmaid, that had the ability to turn into a chainsaw during the hours of darkness ...
WildCamp01.jpg

The campsite was so perilously close to open water that I had to put a safety fence up in case Dave got lost during his walkabout
WildCamp02.jpg

The weather was so bad in the morning that he decided to stay in and brew lots of tea ...

It was a great night though. Since I trashed my feet it was my first winter mountain camp for three years. Bit of a struggle uphill for an old boy, but well worth the effort.

Cheers Dave :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Let's clear a few things up.
There was no goblin of any kind going on

You picked the campsite, where was the risk assessment and life belt / life jacket :nenau:augie

I think there is some sour grapes going on here, maybe jealousy that I was toasty warm all night and weren't :D:D
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks Robin :thumb
