Hi GSer,
Winterriding is my passion. I´ve been to the Northcape in February 11 years ago with a BMW R 1100 GS combo with two wheel drive, at that time the first one with that technologie. It was a really great trip. I took more than 5000 unique pics. The best 200 I published in the German book "Eisige Pisten und Schneegestöber".
11 years gone by and my wife told me some years ago: I want to see the northcape in winter, I want to feel the temperatures, I want to see snowy roads and I want to live all the adventures who had on that trip.
So, this year, we wanna do that. To make this trip much more impressive, to make it new for me, we have a new point of return. We want to reach Murmansk in Russia, for a wodka or two.
A friend of mine bought a R 1150 GS-combo especially for the trip, for our road to Murmansk. All the modifications are finished now and we made his first wintertrip to the Alps last week.
