winter ride into Scotland

well chaps was thinking about this last year, but was wondering weather you guys fancey a winter ride upto Dumfries & Galloway , leave friday afternoon/evening, ride around saturday ,come home sunday via North Yorkshire.

weather permiting, ie no ice
looking at late Feburary when the should be some snow on the peaks,
also looking at taking the other halfs also.

not seen any GSers come out of Haydock
well this was the place i had in mind where to stay, having stayed there a few years back it was just off the main road which is a nice road to take from Dumfries.

Have you been to Scotland in Feb ? I usually go around May each year, up to John O Groats then along north coast, usually spend first night in Bettyhill, then onto Ullapool then to Applecross, some or the best scenery/roads i have ever ridden. Regards Neil
PS - dont know of any other GSERS from Haydock, will keep looking !

Stayedat that Hotel last year (it had just changed ownership). Nice place and the food was decent if I remember (which is hard as the bar was decent as well )

What i'll do john is book a room for me and the other half and post a ruff idea of the route i'm doing to partys that are defo up for it.
