The dedicated battery charger that came with the hoover is made for that application. I wouldn’t use that as a rule for all chargers and lithium batteries. JJH

As I say, I don't believe I've ever had one on an M/C.
I have always kept mine on the Optimate, including the MotoBatt ones, but iirc they were AGM and not Lithium
