Just gone wireless after the Mr Santa delivered a kit for Christmas.

Just one question I need answering, I am currently using the default connection and seem to have a few problems with changing it too a personalised one.

I get the information the the connection is Firewalled but can any of you guys who know about computers give me some pointers on making sure I am not sharing a connection, or better still someone is enjoying my 1 meb line as well as me.

I did three things on my router:
- Enabled WEP (ensures encryption of data being broadcast)
- Disabled network name broadcast (SSID)
- Enabled access control, so only devices with a certain MAC address can access the router.

How you do all the above should be in your router manual. To make it easier, I configured the router via hardwire, then configured the wireless cards to suit the settings.
