Ok, I admit it, I am useless at the electrical side of DIY.
Having striped out my autocom, Garmin sat nav and bike to bike radio, from my 1100rt,I am confused at how to wire them in on my 1200rt as I have no idea how the can bus effects how I can wire them in:confused:
Any help gratefully received. I am aware that there is a plug already in the loom under the headstock for the Garmin and that's all.

I believe that if you pick up the power feed from the accessory socket there is no problem.

As stever1 said or you could use the headstock power feed to trip a relay to give you ignition controlled power. The wires on the connector supplied by BMW or Nippy Norman are only narrow gauge- not sure what power they can handle if you start feeding multiple accessories from it, so might be safer to trip a relay with it.

There may be a connector behind the pillion seat underneath the rack- there is on my RT. Either fit a superseal connector to it, or if you don't want to butcher your wiring you can get a 3 way adapter from BMW to connect to.
