Wiring in gerbing gloves to GS1200

Have just bought a pair of Gerbing Electric gloves for my wife who does not have the benefit of heated grips that I enjoy on my GS1200. Would it be best to either wire them directly to the battery or plug them into the axillary power socket? There is also a 2 amp fuse on the positive wire, if the socket option is used should the fuse be bypassed or not?

direct to the battery Nick. Then you can't upset the delicate electrics. Been running 2 electric jackets this way for years

When i picked my bike up in January i asked the dealer the best way to run my Gerbing gloves and they advised me to run them off the battery.
Have now done this and working fine with no problems.

just never bypass the fuse, trust me i killed a bike that way!
