Wiring Touratech Lights Through Vent Hole...Stupid?!

Just rewired my Touratech aux lights through the vent hole in the light as it looks so much tidier. Question is, will this cause any issues and damage the lights or my wiring loom in the long run?

Has anyone else set their lights up like this before? It seems like the logical wiring route and looks a lot tidier, but looks are no good if they end up buggered!

If your referring to the holes that mine are going through I'm sure it will be fine, the wunderlich set advise you to do this.
