Thumbs up to the above, particularly Matt Cory, nice bloke, did me a fair deal on my new 1200 GS which I pick up on Thursday! Even fitted a Stebel horn for me!

I chose Wollaston over (my more local) North Oxford Garage and was very impressed with Matt.

The post-sales side of things have been a bit slow. Either I'm being fobbed off or it truly is down to BMW supply problems. (I refer to things like Alarm, Top Box and Backrest)

I haven't had any problems to date, I have telephoned,e-mailed and visited with various requests and additions which have all been done without problem. Even stated he would fit one of motorrad concepts nautilus horns but i read of some fuse blowing probs, so will find out tomorrow. I bought a 650 Dakar 2months ago which I am trading in and had horn fitted post purchase. Had to wait short time but again all fine and dandy. The guy on service seemed okay as well but as you find, hope you sort it soon. there are people on this site more experienced with BMW to comment on delays etc

I have had a fair few dealings with Wollastons over the last few years, and generally, they are pretty good. I had some quality control problems with my bike earlier this year (documented elsewhere) and Wollaston were great, paying for a large chunk of a VERY big bill. They understood the issues and were supportive.

wollaston motors

Its very difficult to get it right every time as we all know, but you will go along way to find a better dealer than Wollaston and many bikers pass other workshops to get to Wollaston Motors. :thumb

Yep, a big plus for Wollaston, I've had two new bikes off them in the past five years and, apart from a salesman who tried to shaft me (he wasn't there long), they've been excellent on both sales and service.

There are a couple of dealers much closer to where I live near St Albans, but I'd rather make the trip to Northampton.

wow you cant pay for comments like this. I got my 1150 GSA from Wollaston two years ago, now have my 1200GSA on order coz i think they good. The service / machanic is the dogs he always came up with good info and gave advise on the facts. Like em a lot. Matt how much can you knock off my GSA?

Nice to hear some positive comments for a change :thumb

I've used Woolastons as well....early on when I had a fuel leak from a pre-recall BWM crappy-crimp connector, I popped in there on the way down south and the first mech I saw grabbed his crimper and tightened me up nicely to get home- he checked all the other crimps at the same time and at no point gave me the impression that it was a chore or anything....Certainly one of the dealers I'd go back to based on my admittedly limited experience :)

Wollasaton Service

Can this be a real thread?? :nenau
If It wasnt the fact that with the two bikes Ive had from them theyve been really good I would be suspicious!!!

All warranty issues have been dealt with quite quickly and always at my convenience, always had a loan bike.

Matt even listened well when I started to have a crisis of confidence with 1200gs (note to self, dont believe all you read on forums!). Top chaps have recommended them to others with no qualms at all. :beerjug:
