some bikers were unable to attend on their bikes

,

It wasn't for the want of trying. Wheeled her out & nothing other than a dull click from the starter relay under the seat. It didn't feel like a battery problem & I wasn't getting the louder click & dash lights dimming / extinguishing you get when the battery's fubarred. But I threw the jump leads onto it anyway. No change.
This was getting tedious. I even spoke to Dave & Paul in Duffys but there was nothing they could do over the phone. So rather than waste the wee present & the day, Daragh, for it was his turn to accompany me, and I got changed again & set off in the cage
There was a great turn out of all sorts of yokes including a Wing trike

& a Suzuki & sidecar that looked almost like a proper racing outfit - not very comfortable but I'd say it's good craic. Santa himself travelled in that nice BM outfit.
After a tea & two mince pies (I forgot that Daragh doesn't like them

) the presents were loaded into a van & it was time for the off, just as the rain started. We left them to it & headed to Howth harbour for a one & one before traipsing home.
The bike's being picked up in the morning & ferried to Duffys who, hopefully, will be able to sort it before they close for the hols

I need it for the Fish Dash guys

Despite having had a few warranty repairs in her life this is the first time she's let me down in over 45000 km so I can't even get pi$$ed about it
Well done to all who organised, attended & contributed to a worthy cause
