"Word" font?

How do I change the default font that Word uses when opening a new document?

I'm running Office 2003

Open a blank document.

From the menu choose Format --> Styles & Formatting.

Right click on the "default" text type on the formatting tool bar that appears on the right hand side of the screen.

Change the font and check the button "add to style".

And Robert is your mother's brother.....
