working time /holiday hours tracker wanted

Hi,
The Company i work for has just bought in some new working patterns to supposedly make use more flexible / productive plant that can respond to surges and troughs in demand for the product ..... to that end, our working year will be converted into hours together with holiday entitlement etc. The idea is for the Co. to roster the working week by demand. If we're busy we work longer hours and then in the slack periods we work shorter hours etc.

Does any of the collective know of any software /App's or some programme that i could use to keep tabs of hours worked, hours holiday used etc ??

I just use a spreadsheet. It logs start lunch and finish times for the year and totals hours per week month and year. Simple enough to do in Google sheets, Excel or whatever your preference is.

It sounds like you are on a type of annualised hours system which may lead to working extra shifts to cover sickness damhik

I just write it in a £4.99 staples diary at the end of every day....... simple, so simple in fact ..... well...... pfft

Thats about the 'gist' of it.. The Co. have a bit of a reputation in house for getting things wrong with time and attendance , and to make things worse they have had to sort of rush this in to fit with the new wage / conditions year that starts Jan 1st , so we are on the existing hours for a couple of weeks. All holiday for this year will have to be converted to hours and if you have holiday booked for a day when you will be rostered off - the hours will need to be credited .... i can see it being a PITA until all the pitfalls are addressed.

RE iTunes ? Google Play _ Had a look there - loads to choose from - just wondered if anybody was in the same boat and could make a recommendation.

Excel - again another option, and i reckon some of the brighter bods will be writing one that will be bespoke to our operations. Time will tell ( no pun intended!!)
