OK folks, we (YoYo and I) went to the Le Touquet enduro race this Sunday and tried to make some photos. Not easy when there are 450,000 spectators.

So here's a few that were not of the sky or the sand...

I managed to watch most of this LIVE on Motors TV on satellite. Really good coverage especially from the helicopter. It really is spectacular when you see so many bikes tearing off down the beach. It defies belief the speeds that some of these guys can ride in the sand. The leaders were carving through the back markers with frightening efficiency - God only knows how they didn't crash....Great entertainment and what a pity that it may well be the last year this great race will take place thanks to the environmentalist lobby.

There were 3 helicopters in the air with cameras (and one police one). God knows why they didn't crash....

Anyway, there was one serious crash. You can see it on one of my photos. Two riders crashed into each other while everyone was at top speed. I'd assume that others then hit their bodies. Both were immobilized, and taken away on stretchers.

I agree, as do many others, that it's crazy to stop this race. 450,000 people were there on Sunday!! Criminal to end the race !!!
