Judge’s recent tale of woe reminded me that regardless of the merits of H&B, Touratech or Wunderlich engine bars, they are all very poor at protecting the cylinder heads if the bars are in the kitchen, conservatory or garage whilst the bike is out on the road.
Spurred on by this thought, I whipped off the bash plate at the weekend, and thought ‘… that’s gone a bit manky’.
So, I’ve just picked it up after having it powder coated, and the nice man only wanted a tenner for spraying the two bits … I recon that was a bit of a bargain.

… however, the same logic applies to light bars and auxiliary lights. I really must get my arse in gear this weekend.
