Wp or Ohlins

You could read a lot on Ohlins but how about Wp. Is the Wp as good as Ohlins. Do the Adventure suspension fit the regular 1150 or is it to long. The Wp is not as expensive as the Ohlins.

the Adv suspension is about 1" (2.5cm) longer than the std GS. Öhlins make special Adv shocks - I'd imagine that WP do too....

It can be done alright, but then you need to start swapping centrestands & possibly brake hoses as well.....

Adventure side stand is 20 mm longer than the normal GS,
Handy if you have ohlins fitted

As far as I know the spline is different on the adventure probably to cope with the longer travel. Has anybody actually fitted the adv shocks to the standard gs?

Adventure Shocks on 1150

Yes Rusty has done this mod after I realised the new pair of shocks do not fit on my R1100GS

The only problem so far is that both wheels is on the ground when on the main stand. No probs with the brake hoses.
