Ta. I know that much. My confusion arose because there is a mark to align the damping adjustment which if the spacer pointed to the nearside would put the mark to the less visible position i.e. down and towards the front of the bike.
Closer inspection reveals a mark on the other side though.
Got it on the right way round OK. Might need to raise the ride height a bit though. It's got lots of adjustable bits so I should find something to do the trick. It's finding the time to do any work on it at the moment though
Got to tittle the carbs and replace the steering head bearings as well. Then it'll be time to really start making the bike my own.
