Wtd - 650 Dakar - S Wales

Hi all

A friend is interested in a 650 Dakar, he's an OAP but a very experianced off-roader and wants to add a do-it-all bike for longer distance stuff (just sold his KTM 950 - too big and heavy) to his WR250.

He lives in Llandovery (West of Brecon) so would like to get something fairly local(ish).

If anyone's got something that may be suitable (as new as possible and with heated grips) please let me know and I'll put you both together.

Bob. I was going to re-advertise mine in a few weeks. There was very little response to the advert in MCN a few weeks ago, but selling a bike in the depths of Winter was not a good marketting move.

At the moment, my Dakar is in my Dining Room till it's sold; quite honestly, if I hadn't bought an Adventure - I wouldn't be selling it. It is an immaculate bike, bought brand new in May 2003 from Rydales, so its obviously still under warranty for another 5 months. It has just had its 6,000 mile service. The current mileage is 6,200 - no ABS, but it has got the heated grips. I only live in Carmarthen, so it's only 30 mins drive from Llandovery if he fancies having a look at it. I am looking to get as close to £4,200 as I can. I have several photographs which I can e-mail to him / you if needed. They are on a separate computer, so I can't attach them to this post at the minute, but I will have a crack at it tomorrow.

Trevor - thanks for pointing it out - I actually advertised it on your site about 6 weeks ago, but my timing was all to pot (and I think you automatically remove them after 4 weeks). I was going to try again in a few weeks, at the same time as it was going in MCN, e-bay etc.

I met him about 6 weeks ago, in the Cafe in Llandovery.
He had a look (and sit on mine). Told me he was thinking of a change.

The one available in Carmarthen is in A! condition.
