Bit of a long shot but worth a punt. Looking to stay somewhere cheap(ish) in Shrewsbury Centre next Saturday night. We want to go to the Forever Fields Festival but it would appear that Shrewsbury is fully booked. Anyone got any contacts whom could help out? Ta:thumb

Sorry no room at the inn !!

Hi Dr Alf,
Unfortunately I've got plans already, otherwise you could of crashed here ! :friday
Whenever Shrewsbury has an event on accomodation books up immediately.
No doubt you have checked the new premier inn in the town centre ?
Also a travellodge about 3 miles out.

Hope you have a great weekend.

:beerjug: Cheers Russ

Thanks Russ, that's very kind:thumby:

Shrewsbury is indeed fully booked - nothing available on any of the hotel sites or the B&B's. Looks like we'll be going to the Ludlow food festival instead which doesn't sound like half as much fun. Lesson learnt for next year;)

Morris Oils (Morris Leisure in fact) have a bloody brilliant campsite just out of town which is also right next door to the park & ride . I bet the campsite isnt full:thumb

Thanks for that. I'll give them a call tomorrow:thumby:

Can't you take the camper?

That was the original plan but you can't camp at the festival for a single night - you need an expensive weekend pass:rolleyes: The site mentioned above looks perfect and is just about close enough to walk. Now to check availability....

That's very kind of you Tony:thumby: Too late though - just booked the last available camper van pitch. Shrewsbury is now fully booked out on Saturday and we are going to the festival:aidan

Thanks all:thumb

Nice one.... you will like the campsite, the facilities are immaculate , gardens well tendered and the site staff are great. At the head of the private road its down you will find a small supermarket, pharmacy, fish & chip shop and a chinese takeaway plus the park & ride situated behind them. There is a pub 150 yrds from them too. Everything you need on its doorstep, we have stayed there a few times....plus if you choose Ludlow next time they have a campsite there too which was pretty much brand new when we stayed there in September last year...Ludlow is a very nice place to visit :thumb2
