WTF?

I've just switched on my MacBook and found it needed a security upgrade. Like a good little boy I clicked all the buttons and now I've got to redownload OS 10 which is going to take forever.
Is this normal?

Sounds very suspicious to me! I had a Security update last week but nothing like this - took a couple of minutes.

DONT DO IT UNTIL YOU ARE SURE IT"S SAFE!

Just done the same security update on mine and as above took a couple of minutes with no problems

Well its just finished and it all appears to be working. This wa supposed to be a security update as well.

Hi Mikey, I did a security update on 3rd Sept. It was 10.11.6 ( thats the update reference ) same OS as you.

If your not sure just click on the app icon and go to the updates. Details are available to view.
