I'm waiting here at my 'puter for a full Bos system to be delivered :)

I'm gonna get it dyno'd and suspect that I may have to go down the Techclusion route. You mentioned you'd spoken to the manufacturer (in another thread), do you have a contact name / number I could have. Also, (the important bit!), how much will it cost?

Thanks in advance and, if I ignore your reply, I'm not being rude. As soon as the Bos arrives I'm off to get myself a ferry and hit the Pyrenees for the secound time this year :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Wraithrider - Keen to know how you get on with the Techlusion fuelling module. Has your dealer mentioned any potential Warranty implications ? I mentioned the unit to my dealer and was told it could invalidate my warranty .

I was in Germany on business last week and specially rented a car and drove to Sinzig to visit Wunderlich at their headquarters... Despite having given them a list of parts numbers for the bits I wanted weeks before, the majority of things I wanted were not in stock... :spitfire

I wanted to get the Techlusion too, but they wouldn't sell me one... they claimed in a very "about the bush" manner that there were some "problems" with the Techlusion unit for the 12GS and they couldn't sell me one, but the could offer me an 1150GS version... fat lot of good... So it seems that despite the big claims made in the new catalogue, Wunderlich still haven't figured out the 12GS fuel mapping just like everyone else... if you've got one on order I'd call them and ask when they plan to deliver it, based on what they told me it could be a long wait...

all in all a very unsucessful parts/gear shopping trip to Europe... :(

The Techlusion unit is not actually made by Wunderlich (what is I wonder).

It's made by a company called DoBeck Performance in Montana. 'George' of DoBeck told me over the phone that the 1200 unit was very different to anything that's gone before or that they've done before and that the unit would be available 'in quantity' at the end of October.

FN from Advrider has one on his bike already as his bike seems to have been used as a test bed. He reports no problems and 95 bhp on the dyno using a full Remus system.

As for Warranty issues, supposedly BMW are aware that the Remus system, which they at least tacitly endorse causes lean running which could result in warranty issues anyway. Word has it that Remus are developing something to correct the problem. I wonder if Remus's answer isn't the Techlusion unit anyway?

No, how dare you suggest that red un's could, in any way be inferior :D

I use my GPS without bar raisers. In fact I could do with bar lowerers, it's not an armchair it's a feckin motorcycle ferchrissakes :eek

Seriously I use a Motorrad Concepts mount. Places the GPS right in my line of sight.

after buying a full remus or bos etc then sorting out the fueling would it not be worth just buying the Akrapovic system instead??

yep, they told me at Wunderlich HQ in Sinzig when I visited last week that they didn't make the Techlusion unit themselves, but strangely even though they had them in stock, they weren't prepared to sell me one... they were all happy to sell me one until they put the part number into their computer system and then suddenly they insisted that there was some problem with the function for the 12GS Techlusion unit, and while they wouldn't/couldn't explain the nature of the problem, they were adament that I couldn't buy one from them...

just thought it was a bit odd... perhaps the ones they've got are glitched, or not market ready or something... odd...

Yes, absolutely agree but for one thing. Having paid out all that dosh for the Remus, how much do I get for it 2nd hand to put towards Ackropovich?

'Not a lot'

The Remus is a well made exhaust system.

If I were in the market now I'd get the Ackro, which wasn't available when I bought the Remus.

As it is, an extra £200 or so make give me the peace of mind I want with what I've got.

That's what it's about, peace of mind, I intend my 1200 to be a 'keeper'.

Peter

I agree, my 1200's a keeper too! Just not sure if I should wait for the one with removealbe baffels to come out or just get the race one... either way i'd use it with the baffels out!
