Wunderlich engine protection plate

does the job ,but plenty copies on ebay for about a tenner,generally from china

Or one from cymarc (a member here, and a top bloke)...... rather than paying Wunderlich or TT prices.

+1 for Cymarc.

Preventing the engine from being sandblasted you need a fender ekstender. Without it any other protection is wasted.
Then most of the dirt hits the lower part of the engine, area between the lower fastening bolts (where the Wunderlich plate is at its most narrow) is where the dirt hits.

The brilliance about the Cymarc plate is that this area is well protected, and it is wider than the engine case, and it covers all the way down to below the engine protection plate.

Thanks for the info will also take a look at this, i have the fender extender fitted. Can you have both fitted or will the fender extender hit the engine protection plate?

The Cymarc plate touches the engine protection plate. Personally I bent it slightly so it did not rube/vibrate against the protection plate.

My fender extender do not touch either protection, but I guess this may differ depending on brand of fender extender.
But IF there is an issue, the fender extender is easy to adjust. Merely warm it up with a heat gun and protect your hands against the heath and apply slight pressure on the extender to move it slightly while it cools of.

This works on all plastic parts.
My rear hugger was touching my rear wheel when bike was loaded.
I taped several layers of cardboard plates (from boxes) onto parts of my rear wheel. Rotated the wheel to get the cardboard plates out of the way. Then I warmed up the hugger with a heat gun and rotated the wheel with the cardboard plates into position so the cardboard plates pushed on the hugger while it cooled of.

I bought the cheap Chinese one’s off eBay for my bike and my brothers. Both do the job.
