:D Having recently aquired one of these for peace of mind regarding fueling and after market headers/can/airfilter, I'm a tad confused about the recommended settings...
essentially if I use the Wunder settings for my set up, the top end seems massively over fueled, to the point of being very wooly and fluffy on the throttle, I've slowly reduced the fuel input (this is over and above the bikes own input) till it's seems best on my arse dyno, instead of a setting of "4" I'm running "1.5" which is a fair difference, I've also had to reduce the "acceleration" fueling as well...
is this other peoples experience of these ?
is it me ?

I know Dyno time is the only true answer but I'm after other folks thoughts on this please...
bikes a late 07 Adv
cheers:thumb2

shouldnt matter,
its still richer than standard, you cant run weaker on these

Yeah thats how I understand it, but the recommended settings for Remus headers, remus exhaust and Blue filter is 4 accelleration and 4 top end, my set up is remus headers BOS can and blue filter and I'm down at 2.5 accel and 1.5 top....quite a difference, the only real difference from the recommended set up is the fact I still have the baffle in, but I wouldn't have thought it made THAT much difference to the fueling ???

diff between 2.5 and 4 isnt a lot in fueling terms, its fine tuning, not by a massive amount, prob 4 percent max

is that fact ?? or a digger guess ??:D
if you are right then I'm a happy bunny.....TBH I'm happy it's getting more fuel than before, I was just curious to see what other folk are running, obviously no one else is running a Wunder controler !;)

a wunder controller is the same as techtronic etc, gives 6 per cent max extra fuel, it will not let it run weak, it only can ADD fuel, and no, its not a guess, bin usin em for years:thumb

Intersesting reading that............

I'm on pretty much the same set up; full BOS system, K&N and cut down snorkel and have always run it on the 'stock' settings you first started with.

Reckon my bum ain't as fine tuned as yours 'cos I found it perfect out of the box - reckon I might have a play now and see if I can improve on it. I do remember reading a post on here, many moons ago, about a guy with a similar set-up who tried to improve the settings on a dyno and ended up using the reccomended settings - sorry, can't remember who.

My bikes an 05 but I can't imagine that's make any difference - if anything mine should be running richer than yours as AFAIK the R1200 has got leaner over the years :nenau

What ever, the fuel controllers make a big difference don't they :D

:) It's very noticable at the top end, if you ride in a fairly steady manner the bike feels good, if you start winding it full open, then roll off and back on, it starts to feel like someone has hold of the back of the bike and steadily gets worse and worse as the cylinder temps rise....:(
By dropping to 1.5 etc I've managed to eliminate that feeling and it's crisp thru the rev range again.
As you say, they DO make a difference tho, ;)

That was me. I had a full remus system and K&N and got it set up at BSD in Peterborough. The recommended settings worked best but there was very little difference if you made small changes. The guy that ran that place said it was an effective but crude device.

Mike, how long ago was that ?? I wonder (sic) if they've changed things to make more difference either that or I have a VERY sensitive arse....:nenau;)

Funners it was a couple of years ago now. I would get it on a dyno if i was you - sounds strange that it doesnt run well at the recommended setting - perhaps there's something else wrong. It seemed to me that wunderlich had done some research to get it right and can't see why they would change :nenau

The bike has had the headers and end can on since just after I bought it and it's run well, no problems at all, I've recently added a "Blue" filter as well and wanted a tad more fuel than the stock system provides for peace of mind, it deffo runs really sweet running 1.5 on each setting, I'm just wondering if the road legal insert in the end can makes more difference than I thought...:nenau
It's gonna get dyno'd at some point to make sure but I have to say I'm quite happy for now...;)
Thanks for the info tho:D

Ran the PC on my 1200ADv with full Remus, K&N and snork mod with their recommended settings and was happy - now have it on my new HP2 and seems to be even better on those settings with same mods ... but then the engine is a bit perkier and the bike is 50 kg lighter :D
