Fitted the above yesterday, what a difference :) No more missed gears :D The original selector always seemed a little long to me as I was changing gear with my toe more than my foot. Alright most of the time, but a pain when missed changes occured. Many have complained about the so called 'poor' or 'sloppy' gearbox on the older models, but I believe that it's more to do with the length of the selector.

Coupled with the upgrade to the vario adjustable clutch/brake levers, money well spent me finks :D

Oddly I had the opposite problem. I found the lever too close and struggled to get my foot under. I also needed the lever much lower. I did try the Wunderlich adjustable gear lever, and was impressed with the quality and style. Thing was I needed the lever lower (lanky legs mean my feet tilt down quite far). I ended up fitting the Touratech adjustable lever, which looks like a bit of mechano, but does the job and because of the design you can move the lever a (little) bit lower.

Saying this, looks wise Wunderlich win any day, but it just wasn't right for me. Will have to put my Wunderlich on the for sale section some day.

I do agree that a well adjusted lever really makes the gearbox work for you, rather than the other way around. It means that you don't think about changes, just choose the gear. I still cock up on occasions, but normally when I'm tired and too gentle.

Wunderlich Gear Selector

I have the Wunderlich model and it looks a treat and works well. However, check the folding tip. My first one fell off! Wunderlich sent me a replacement tip with some RED loctite. I guess with all that exercise the screw can come undone. A word to the wise because it is hard slogging to shift using the edge of your boot sole to catch the flat of the lever when the tip has gone. Might make sense to take yours apart and do the red loctite fix. Am wiser now.:blast
