Wunderlich Safety Bars - fitted at The Adventure Bike Shop

The person who made the remark regarding it must be as wide as a Smart car, duh! No it isn't and you obviously don't rite an RT. Which raises the question why are you commenting?

:rob ride safely

I'm commenting because, as the owner of a R1200RT Toilet (see sig. below), i'm very aware of how wide the Panniers are (39"), as i've already collected enough scrapes on them due to filtering through traffic.
So the last thing i'd want is to make my bike even wider. However, I suppose that would be irelevent if you don't filter.......then you might as well have a Smartcar..:augie

Not satisfied with selling bars for the front, manufacturers have realised that they can double their sales, to include the back.

But the boxes have a painted finish, sensible idea - for GSA Aluminium boxes they will be wider than a smart car:D

When you are outgunned and old, it's best to stay in the dugout.

Enjoy your Christmas in France. For a full festive look, hang your balls from the bars.

LOL!....It's alright saying that Wapping...but he's probably gonna order his balls from Wunderlich and have them fitted at you know where!

Hi Yonko
Well I rode back to my place in France on Friday and unfortunately had Friday late afternoon on Dartford Crossing and A3 to Portsmouth as an experienced motorcycle rider I learned long ago to avoid hitting moving or static objects lol, but I can see how some rider do hit objects. I must admit a guy on a Gold Wing made my skills look quite amateurish in comparison.

After a seven hour ride down to Chabanais I was knackered no filtering required unless avoiding and slalom between cow pats counts.

Yonko I am intrigued why you call the 2014 a toilet?

Stay safe.

I though you called it WC for convenience?

:blast

I must be getting over sensitive in my old age and looking for criticism in all comments, must stop that. By the way it's referred to as LC and not WC as it's oil and water as opposed to water cooled hence LC "liquid cooled" I think?

I cleaned the Smartcar yesterday duh! I mean Arty for the first time and thought I would check the exact measurement of the rear protection bars and they measure 40 inches exactly so that in my books means a gain of half inch on each side. So not a massive gain on the width of the bike but enough to do its job in a minor topple and not enough to give you concerns in manoeuvring in close restricted spaces i.e. filtering or Motor Gymkhana should you be that way inclined.

Its good to hear that you're keeping the 'Smart' nice and clean..:thumb

40" eh! well thats not as wide as they look in your pics then, so i guess an extra inch is acceptable (my missus would be happy with an extra inch too:augie).

:D
