Sorry folks another question about screens. Anybody out there got experience of the Wunderlich Vario Screen ? Looks good in the brochure etc., but I would be interested if anyone has used one in anger......................cheers

Yep, 25,000 miles with one and it's still as good as new.
Buy it - IMHO the best screen for me and most others ,due to its adjustability.

Whats the difference between the Wunderlich Vario and the MRA Vario screens ? Are they one of the same things - can anyone post any pics ?

I think you'll find they're the same, but re-badged when sold through Wunderlich.

On the subject of the Vario, has anyone tried it with the top section removed? I was thinking when the summer eventually arrives it may be nice to have a bit of wind.

If it's wind you want, then 12 pints of the black stuff followed by a ruby should do the trick ;)

agree with t'others. Mines an MRA on an 1100GS and it's not the most beautiful thing in the world - gaps between it and the headlight not pretty. But what the hell, it's MUCH better than the original screen, even with the Saeng/Ta stealth edging (fancy rubber edging to deflect wind) I fitted to it. It's a bit flimsy, but works even when cruising at 90. Much quieter too, nowhere near as much turbulance around me bonce. Didn't blow off when I hit 125 in a freak throttle opening moment either, so not that flimsy.
As you can probably tell, I'm chuffed with it. Easy to fit too.

If anyones interested, I've still got the said original 1100 screen with aforementioned Saeng/Ta edging. It sort of 'moves' the airflow away from the screen edge, as though the screen was about 4" bigger all round. Better than without the edging, but not as good as the MRA screen. Any offers?
