Can anyone recommend a map that I can purchase showing places of WW2 interest in Normandy?

Failing that what are the must see locations in a 3 hour ride from Caen ?

A book with its own fold out battle map. Covers all of the D Day landing areas. Damn good book for a first timer and its more or less pocket sized. :thumb

IMO the highlights In a nutshell, starting from East, moving west:

Pegasus Bridge,

Arromanches

American Cemetary

Point Du Hoc

St Mer Eglise Airborn Museum

Lots of stuff (Cemetaries, vehicles, bunkers) to be found while traveling between these points...

I would also include Merville Battery just a few miles from Pegasus, gives real perspective to what our guys would of had when landing on Sword beach.:thumb2

I picked up a free map in the museum in Caen, it had all of the spots along the coast marked. The museum in Caen is well worth a visit also, imho.
