Hi - anyone out there used these guys at all? I'm thinking of planning a trip for a few weeks based out of Arizona, ideally a blend of on & off road on a GS12. From what I've seen so far it looks like if I go down the rental route then I'll have to pick up & return to the same place - but if anyone knows different I'd love to hear about it.??

cheers,

Just got back from a trip out there but rented a Harley (ssh, don`t tell anyone::ymca). Really not the bike for that part of the world but they really do go off road:augie.

Eaglerider do rent GS`s as well as I found out after getting the HD and it`s the bike to have for the area. There are plenty of off road and fireroads which really makes a difference for a good trip. For instance, there is a 17mile route in Monument Valley where you really need a GS!!

I would advise you to go onto ADVrider and put a post in the South West section asking for routes. They are pretty helpful guys on that site and if you want any details of where I`ve just been, just give ma shout!:thumb

Hi, you mention "eaglerider", is that a different company and if yes, which town are they based in? I'll take your tip re ADVrider, cheers for the help;)

Eaglerider are owned by Harley Davidson. If you look at their website at www.eaglerider.com, you will see all the bikes they have and where they have outlets. They are all over the US. They only show HD`s but it would be a good idea to call them in Phoenix because they are very helpful and I can recommend you use them at least in the 1st instance.

Let me know if you need any more help and here is a few pics to wet your appetite:thumb

1: Sedona
2: San Francisco Heights above Flagstaff. This is why a GS is better. The road was 20 miles on dirt at 10,000ft!!
3: Monumnet Valley. There is a 17 mile dirt trail you can ride/drive round.
4: Canyon De Chelley which is utterly stunning and steeped in Navajo history.
