Hello, Hopefully I can get some information from X Challenge owners past and present.

I have just purchased an X Challenge with the air suspension unit.

It also has a Tony Archer modified seat which is quite tall.

I blew the shock upto 6 bar and although 6ft and 16 stone my feet barely touch the ground. There appears to be no sag.

To get the rear of the bike to move, I got it down to 4 bar but that seems to much as the rear of the bike now squats.

Obviously I can try smaller increments but just wondered what other owners set theirs at.

Cheers Jeff

Hi Jeff,

They are tall bikes!

Re the pressure, you set it using the spirit level that is built into the left side of the bike; it's in some black plastic just in front of where your left knee is.

Sit on the bike with whatever luggage etc you'll be taking, and adjust the pressure until it is level in the sight glass. It should give you some sag when sat on it, but not much (IIRC) when nothing on it.

Only way to lower the bike is less pressure than recommended, reshape the seat or fit an aftermarket shock.

Good luck with the bike.
