X Challenge Chain Maintenance

Just bought a new X Challenge, after the last 9-10 years riding a bike with shaft drive, started wondering how to keep the chain in tip top condition, bought a tin of Motul special formula for off road chain lube which is still lightly tacky, someone recommended that I use a PTFE dry lube.
Anyone else use this? Whats it like? Is it ok for higher speeds on road?

I use PJ1 Blue Label lube and it's ok

BMW Dealers use a white kind of lube, must be the PTFE type, looks hideous but probably works

I bought and use a tin of the BM stuff. 1300 miles done and a lot of them are off road, not a sign of rust so far and it doesn't hold the dirt in either. I just was the bike after use and spray the chain every time.
