Has anyone managed to fix a x-tank and a scottoiler on a X-challenge? It all gets a bit tight for space... Will post pics of attempt when next home. Thanks

Can you post a pic of where you pick up the vacuum for the ScottOiler?

re: fuel - I went for a Rotopax container on the rack, less aesthetically pleasing but pretty much unbreakable.

I've got the large X-tank and a scottoiler fitted. Drilled into the top of the inlet manifold using the supplied spigot and as per the instructions for fitting the scottoiler to the X challenge.

Got them from the scottoiler website I think.

Thanks, yes, I know what is supposed to happen but I just wondered, in terms of routing, where the spigot hole is best made.

And it all fits? Are you able to post a picture? I am finding it too tight or I have to put the scottoiler at an angle which looks odd. Thanks

Hi guys

I've spotted this thread and also found http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?241978

I'm in the process of fettling a (new to me) XC and want to mount a scottoiler too.

Here's a pic I took today.

I presume I mount the spigot where the red arrow is. Is that correct? Is the hole at a 45 degree angle? Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

Many thanks for any tips. Does anyone have a picture of how they mounted the spigot. I was unable to find the destructions on the Scottoiler website. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

No, the spigot goes into the rubber inlet manifold, situated below the throttle body. It looks like a 1.5" dia rubber tube with a gentle 90 deg bend in it.

When I did mine, instructions were on the scottoiler site, and they'll send you the spigot for free when you register your unit.

Many thanks for the reply and description of the part I'm looking for. Much appreciated. My error was caused by reading the reply in the other link I had posted.

Also, eventually, found the instructions at http://www.scottoiler.com/uk/support/installation.html under "Classics, Singles & 2 Strokes (382kb)"
