Update on the clutch saga, fitted new EBC plates and heavy duty springs this morning, on adjusting the cable at the handlebar end i have had to adjust it out a fair distance, think ill get a new cable as the origional may have stretched!, took the bike for a test ride and all is now ok,

Just for reference got EBC Clutch plates and springs from Wemoto(thanks Timpo), they are listed as F650GS Dakar items but are identical. Cost £54 compared with £140 from BMW.
Only time will tell if they are as good as OEM.

Ferret, how have your EBC plates lasted now?

Does anyone have the wear limits handy for the clutch plates? I've run out of adjustment on my clutch lever, and with the HardAlptour in 2 weeks time i want to check my clutch isn't going to fail half way round.

Still going strong Nathan, done a few thousand more hard miles and still good, not yet even had to re adjust the cable, the EBS plates and springs get my vote.

I've tried the replacement BMW plates and the EBC ones. The EBC ones seem to be just as good. The cable gets replaced at the same time as they do stretch.

Not changed the springs and the bike is on the original ones at 50k miles.
