well there i was trawling the internet about ballast fittings and i came across

and the touratech site which shows the ballest fittings for there equipment

it shows not only how to make brackets but also an e mail for dave at backrest products who may be making them.
i have e mailed him and waiting for a reply.
i will let you all know the reply and hopefully this will solve a long suffering problem with were to put your ballast boxes
