xr650r engine swap?

Of course its possible but finding someone who has done it would be the hardest part.
If you have the bits try and stick them together and see what needs removing or filling.
Don't listen to those who say it cant be done, no matter what it is they are wrong.

Frame mods and the swingarm will be a stumbling block as the Rotax chain runs on the other side to the Honda.
Your wheel would need reversing which means brake caliper anchor needs moving too......
Induction/intake will hit the top frame tube, and maunting an airbox near impossible.....

Rebuild the XR-R engine..... it will be cheaper.

yes chain on the other side makes it complicated. would the intake deffinatly hit the top tube? my xrr's engine is fine i just thought it would be great to have the relative light weight and suspension of the xrr with the fuel economy and durability of the rotax engine. xrr does half what the bmw does to the gallon, wonder one could swap the engine management and injection system over for the fuel economy, theyre both four valve 650's or is that just too easy??
