Y piece and remus

And before some numpty asks, yes, I've done a search.

But in general terms what does the above free up

1) More grunt
2) A tiny bit more grunt
3) Bucket loads more grunt
4) Makes it sound louder

I would just like to know roughly.

More Grunt than Monica Seles visiting a pig farm at feeding time. Seriously, it's definitely worth it; that flattish spot at 4000 revs disappears. They say up to 5 bhp, and you can really feel it.

Had a laser +y peice +chip on 1100 seemed to me like loads more power allthough didnt stop surging but did sound like a bike should,, drivers could here me coming and going But with 1150 ,I tried remus + y/ piece results not 1/2 as good ,remus revolution with baffle out still very qwiet reletivly and not much more poke and its just too darn big and a shity oval shape and loads of surging , next spend will be on laser e/ pipe any one wana buy a remus rev shity shaped pipe will be 4 sale soon as i get my laser includes baffle baffled if i noticed the differance in or out. hope this helps

Having scanned the "Search" this mod doesn't seem to be problem free!

Fitted Y piece first and left it with standard end can for the summer. Have now fitted Remus Revolution end can as well. Y piece made bike sound a bit nicer but defo gave more mid-range ooomph and seemed more free revving. End can just makes nicer noise, no noticeable power improvement. I would fit Y piece by itself first - that may be enough for yous.

So a Y piece will fit the standard end can?

Now, I wonder if that will screw me up for swiss emissions testing! Hummmmm!

Mine had Y-piece and std silencer when i bought it. It was fine, though rear subframe rusted thru where silancer was attached - I wouldn't put this down to the Y-piece though. I now have Remus silencer as well as Y-piece - MUCH better - noise makes me grin every time I take it out. Gives it a bit more attitude which is fantastic. It certainly feels quicker in the mid range as well - a bit more free breathing.

Also - you don't need to change the fuel mix / injection either, though some will claim you need the techlusion thing I am not convinced, nor are BMW from the replies I got from them.
