Hi I;m posting this for an 86 year old friend who is having health problems and cannot ride anymore.
He has 2 of these and at some point believed around 19,000 miles he swapped engines around whilst he worked on the other. He is a mechanic and did most of his own servicing. It runs nicely and has new tyres. the mot is out of date , expired 16/11/24 as he has been unable to get the bike there but it has only covered less than a hundred miles since jan 2024 Mot.
It seems to me in tatty but sound condition for age but is not a garage queen.
He has said he wants a fair £600 for it but could be negotiated..The battery is good and he alternates a battery tender between his 3 bikes.
The bike is located in burgess hill West Sussex.
It can be viewed there.
He would be prepared to guarantee they would go through an MOT and cover cost or refund if doesnt.
I can find out any details and his daughter will be sorting out any viewing times and she is sensible.
He also has the other Yamaha XJ600S diversion which is in better cosmetic condition and mechanically sound and an Yamaha FJ1200 1989 - .20K miles
