Yet another foglamp thread

Ive had them for a few months , plug and play , the switching through the main beam flash is ace as no need for extra switches, good value I thought.

Thanks for that Pablo!

From the video it looks like you just plug in to the satnav socket up front, then run a set of wires to the battery? Must be using some form of canbus witchcraft to switch with the high beams I guess. Am going to give them a try :)

You connect the power direct to the battery.

The plugging in bit is to the main headlamp.

Remove BMW headlamp plug, plug in the plug from the fogs, plug the BMW main headlamp plug into the second plug from the fogs, they are male and female connectors so you wont get it wrong, this creates a loop of power going through your light bar and allows the lights to be switched on and off by flashing the main beam twice. :beerjug:

Everything else looks too complicated to fit, and I'm only looking for something to make me a little more visible rather than something that will illuminate the outback at midnight, so I've ordered these, and will have a think about getting a HID upgrade for my headlight.

i didnt bother with the hid on headlight, dont drive much at night anyway, however if you go for this the holder you are supplied with for the fogs is designed so you can mount 2 ballast units on it, so that should save you some money.

good luck with it.:beerjug:

Was wondering where these had got to and just as I was sending them an email I had a call from MV Motorrad, the brushed steel ones are out of stock and would I like the more expensive black ones for the same price. They're being UPS'ed overnight for tomorrow at no extra cost too. German efficiency :)
