Zumo 550 and HTC Desire

Just changed my phone to a HTC Desire and am having problems when connected to the Zumo.
About every 5 minutes the Zumo looses the bluetooth connection for about 20 seconds and then reconnects again.
Had no problems with the last Samsung phone i had.
Has anybody else with the same phone got the same problems?.

Had the same problem with the same phone and satnav. The only solution i found was to stop using the HTC and use my work phone instead.

I used to have the same phone, as did the wife. We both got rid of them after 6 months as the bluetooth was absolutely woeful. We had issues with the Zumo, Autocom and also the Parrot kits in the cars (2 different kits).

Eventually we both went back to having iPhones and have had no problem since then. I know it may not really help you, but at least it may save you from spending ages wasting your time trying to fix an inherent issue with the device.

There may be a setting to stop the bluetooth going to sleep are you running 2.2 Froyo.

Someone suggested turning off the sync when the bluetooth is connected to the Zumo.
I gave it a go coming back from work, about 15 minutes, and it stayed connected. May be I have found the solution?.
