Zumo 550 & Autocom Active 7 Smart

Is there anyone running the same set up as this using the phone and stero music?

Autocom want to sell me a box for £103 for this to work properly, or £38 for just mono music

How did you connect yours?

Hi Paul,

I have the active 7 smart and decided to install it on my gs12 today, the lead for it is p/n 1300, it works fine at home, but on the move at over 20mph I cannot hear anything. I suspect my autocom unit has seen better days. The volume on the autocom and the zumo are set to full and it still quite at standstill so no surprise at not being able to hear it at any sort of speed.

p.s. I've never been happy with the volume on my unit and hence it's been in the garage for the last couple of years.

A question, do the newer units have a better volume output? they are all half price at the moment so now looks a good time to buy.

Do I change it? if to what kit?
