:augie anyone wanting a zumo 550 will need to dig deeper ..

As from April 11th 2009, the RRP increases to £599.99 inc VAT  expect website price changes to appear very soon

Can any tell me why the prices of the 550s are increasing when the new 660 is due to be released... I really don't understand this? I do see the price of the 660 has increased but I was hoping the 550 would then be cheaper.

Anyone know of good prices out there at the moment?

I agree it's the pound. I've been renewing my camping gear (tent, mattress, bag) and have been seeing the dramatic price increases coming through from Swiss, Norwegian and other suppliers. Luckily I bought 2008 stock. :)

Is the expected price of the Zumo 660 going up too?

Makes the Nuvi 550 at £220 even more of a bargain (provided you have an original Mapsource. RAM cradle & Q-lite = £38)

Nuvi 550, waterproof, 10 routes, 500 waypoints, takes micro SD, as you say, Bargain :thumb

I just picked up a brand new ZUMO 550 from one of the electronics shops on Tottenham Ct Rd here in London for 450 quid including VAT. I think it was called "ASK" just north of the tube station, across from the Sainsbury's.

They have it marked at 499, but I told them Halford's has it for 450 but doesn't stock it and I wanted it that day (can you say "impulse buy" :bounce1).

I already have a 2610 but I was having trouble acquiring satellite, didn't have the RAM mount, yadda yadda. I just love how EVERYTHING is included with the ZUMO, the newer device software seems much better, and the thing just plain works. Battery power seems nice to have, and the SD card expandability is great.
