Zumo 550 in the US

Hopefully this is in the correct forum, if not can someone move it.

I'm planning on visiting Las Vegas in a few months & plan to hire a bike for 16 days to take in some of the sites over there.
Can I get my Zumo 550 to give me basic route info in the US? It currently has city navigator 2008 loaded.

It depends upon how "basic" you mean, Baz. The basemap won't do much good in the US.

You could get a copy of Worldmap for about £50 and install that on a card. Better still would be to get a copy of City Navigator NT North America, either on a card or on CD. The options for this range from legitimate ones to more dodgy ones.

You should be able to get the US maps from Garmin. Get onto their UK office and they will help.

I did this a few years ago and will be updating that shortly.
