Okay - so this has been asked before but I can't find the thread etc.

My Blackberry 8100 Pearl keeps being dropped by the Zumo 550 - or is it the other way round. I seem to remember someone saying the Blackberry settings can be adjusted??? This is seriously annoying.

Or do I just chuck the bloody thing at a wall????

HELP!!

My Zumo kept dropping the bluetooth connection to my Nokia - have taken the Zumo firmware back a revision and seems to be more reliable

That's what I had to do as well - same issue as you Zumo 550 with 8100 and I kept getting phone disconnected then it would reconnect etc etc.

Only started happening after installing a Garmin Bluetooth update so rolled that back and all was fine again.

Noticed the other day they have released a patch for the issue via webupdater so did the update again and all seems fine do far :-)

SOme info on my thread here of how to roll back the firm ware etc:

There is a known issue with the Blackberry bluetooth interface. I have never got my 8300 curve working reliably with either the Zumo or with the Autocom dongle. In the end I am waiting for the new Blackberry to be released in July/Aug. (Blackberry Bold I think) Hardly a satisfactory answer I know but its a handset issue.

Don't suppose your getting an error message on the Pearl are you?

No. Just the same as most others...phone connects then disconnects at annoyingly regulaintervals. Am very much in the dark about firmware - link from other message is difficult to access the link...:thedummy

Just checked the link and it seems ok - yuo need to download the zip file when prompted then follow the instructions in the thread...

Blackberry

when it connects, it asks on the phone, for the password, 1234 and also tick the box, not to ask again

Mine connects everytime and you get voice dailing as well, if not you have not connected correctly

Same here, once I'd ticked the 'don't ask again' box it worked every time for me, both 8100 and Pearl
