zumo 550 map update

Just bought the 2009 city navigator Europe NT update from MNC group.
Put the memory card in but nothing happened or seems to have changed !
Any clues please ..................................

When did you buy the Zumo? If it was built within the last year then it probably came with CN2009NT on it. CN2010NT is, as far as I know, the latest Garmin mapping for Europe. Assuming the Zumo is simar to a Nuvi, turn the unit on, touch the spanner icon, select Map, then Map Info top see which maps you have. Try this both with and without the memory card and see what you have.

2007

I bought the unit in July 2007. It has been telling me for ages there is updated software. i finally capitulated the other day and bought the upgrade from MyNewCheap where I originally purchased it from.

I have done as you have suggested and the mpas are showing Europe NT 2010.10 with the memory card in. Without the card it is Europe NT v 9 so i guess there is a difference.
However, i have been on 2 roads in the last couple od days which have been upgraded and they are still not showing
Guess it is just not that up to date !! Mind this road, the bypass at Swindon has only been open a few months
At least I know the software is updated.
