Hi all,I have a 2010 1200 adv with a zumo 550 using BMW's own mount on the wind screen bracket, does anybody know if the touratech locking mount will fit ok with this set up thank you :)

It did'nt work for me, the Touratech cradle is too tall and not far enough away from the BMW mount and it fouls the inside of the screen. If your not tall you might get away with it by having the mount upright almost parallel to the screen, but no good for me. I ended up with one of the Alder Enterprise mounts (£50 off Ebay) which brings the cradle far enough away from the screen to be angled back and the Touratech cradle fits nicely on that. The Alder mount fits very close to the inside of the screen, but doesn't touch, say about 2-3mm clearance. I have this set up now with a Ztechnik touring (tall) screen and it works for me and my 550.

thanks very much beemerman that's just what i needed to know,I really like the look of the locking touratech mount but its not cheap and I thought its closeness to the screen might be a issue.I still need to find a way to secure the zumo as i don't like the silly screw and I'm concerned that if i hit a big bump it may jump out of the mounting:clap

Migsel do this which is much better, to clamp the lid down, but not really an anti theft screw
There are others around, the original has a fabric style washer which holds it in place, unscrew it fully and pull it out to replace.

The search button is your friend ;)
