Zumo 550 question

I bought a Zumo 550 in 2008 and havn't updated Mapsource since then.

I would like to do this and wonder which one is the latest version for the 550.

The version installed now is City Navigator Europe NT 2008 10.01

Also can I buy it online and download as I am now based in Eastern Europe.

Do a search on here for numaps. Lifetime updates for the life of the 550 for about £46 uk.

I bought the lifetime map upgrades for the 660 for 40-odd quid here, works fine so I'm guessing it will for the 550 too. You'd need to check to see if it covers where you are with the detail you want/need though.

It is 'individual device specific' so if you change your unit/model in the future, you'll need to start over with a new software update package..

Go on to Garmin's website, register your 550 (if not already done) go to 'My Dashboard' with your unit connected to your computer, you'll be able to see what maps are available and also any software updates your Zumo needs.

Thanks for your replies folks. I did as you say and have downloaded the maps from the Garmin myDashboard application. All seems great and there looks to be a lot more detail for Eastern Europe than in the last version
