zumo 550 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my zumo 550 loves noising me up , it tells me one day that the accessory is not supported , whatever that means , then i get rid of that , how im not entirely sure , i get a message saying its been connected to the wrong usb terminal , its never been connected to one , although this is a refurb unit as my last one died , any ideas? . it still works but this message is always popping up , pleez help its driving me mad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just been having the same problems today. After about half an hour it seemed to stop.

Any ideas anyone?

Take the mount to bits and you'll probably find water in it. If lucky once it has dried out it will work fine but sometimes the PCB inside corrodes, the tracks disappear or components get shorted out.

I've had this happen twice, luckily the GPS was under warranty after refurbishment so replaced FOC.

Also. Clean the contacts, and smears them in a little Vaseline. Same for the bottom of the Zumo.

Spot on there Tony.
There was indeed some water in there, mainly over the USB connector. Have dried it out as otherwise it looks fine.
Gave it a quick test and seems good so far.
