Zumo 550

Just got my zumo 550 out of box to use at weekend can't enter a address it jumping to random things is there anything I can do ? I feckin hate these things nearly thrown it at wall

Give it an update and or leave it powered up and in the open for up to 30 mins

As above or just remove the battery for a short while then put back and give it a full charge, or failing that reset it to factory default (google that) the 550 is a great satnav.

Have you read any user guides??

Just looking through the box all my instructions are in every language except English , it has been on for about 45 mins now seems to be working bit better now it has been in box for about year

Hook it up to a PC with basecamp/mapsource on it - let it go into maint mode.

Disconnect and switch it on again.

Can't do that as only have I pad done the factory reset as above its working ok now the search menu is completely different now , it was a sliding type thing before now it's just a grid you touch letter / number much user friendly
